Sun damaged skin with these home remedies:

* Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera not only creates a cooling effect, it also forms a thin protective layer, allowing moisture to help replenish your scorched skin. you can snap off a stalk, split it open and apply directly to your sun damaged parts.

* Apple Cider Vinegar: A great way to help soothe your sunburn is to take a vinegar bath add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a Luke warm bath, soak for 15 minutes and rinse. This will help to immediately reduce pain and help rejuvenate sun damaged skin.

* Baking Soda: Baking soda help to restore your skin's natural PH balance. Taking a baking soda bath will help protect your skin and reduce the throbbing sensation, add 1/4 cup baking soda to a luke warm bath, soak for 15 minutes, but do not rinse. Allow the baking soda residue to dry on the skin for added benefit.

* Milk and Honey: Milk and Honey for use in sunburns, create a compress mixing a 1/2 cup milk with 1 tbsp honey, apply directly to sun effected area and cover with a warm washcloth for 20 minutes.

Home Remedies for dark skin:

Some of the useful home remedies for dark skin are present in below.

* Mix together a cup of lime juice and a cup of lemon juice and use in your daily bath. Just get a wash cloth and rub this mixture over your skin when bathing. Leave this on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse off.

* Make a face pack by mixing one tea spoon of milk powder, lemon juice, half tea spoon of almond oil, then put the pack on your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. This is the best home remedy for removing tan on the skin.

* Put the slice of raw potato on the face. It will help to reduce the marks on the skin.

* Application of ground mint pastes on face also a good home remedy for dark skin.

* Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin.

* Almonds are also very useful when it comes to removing sun induced dark skin. Soak a few raw almonds in water overnight and in the morning, remove the skins and grind these nuts into a paste. Apply on the affected skin.

* A paste made with turmeric powder and some lime juice will also help remove dark skin caused by sun exposure


Treatments Oily Skin:

* Crab apple Make a paste. Apply all over the face and neck. Leave for 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water. It is a rich source of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) which tone, soften and moisturize dull oily skin.

* Sandalwood powder- Add a few drops of water to half a tablespoon of the powder. Apply the paste all over the face, neck (in upward and outward direction) and hands. Avoid eye area. Let dry. Wash with tepid water. This reduces wrinkles and fine lines while fighting acne and blemishes.

* Lemon juice, flour, turmeric powder- Make a paste. (Use all purpose flour) Plain yogurt can be used in place of lemon juice. Apply all over the face except the eye area. Let dry. Rinse. The acids in the lemon juice treat dark spots on the face clearing the complexion. Turmeric brightens the look. (Lemon juice might cause a tingling sensation). Feel the fresh and oil free skin afterwards.

* Wheat germ oil Massage your face with the oil. Leave it on for 1 hour before washing with tepid water. Natural vitamin E, a powerful anti oxidant, in this oil prevents skin damage caused by UV rays and environmental pollution. It is great for softening the skin.

* Milk It is particularly necessary for individuals with oily skin to keep their skin clear otherwise it has a tendency to form acne lesions making the skin patchy, discolored and rough. Presence of oil makes the skin sticky thus attracting dirt from the environment clogging the pores. Clogged pores mean increased oil secretion.

* Rice powder and corn flour. It is absolutely necessary to exfoliate with a gentle scrub about 3-4 times per week to balance the skin’s moisture. Rice powder is an excellent natural exfoliating agent. It gives the over-stressed oily skin a new vitality and a healthy radiance.

* Potato and cucumber slices. Close your eyes and put 2 slices on top of the eyelids. The natural juices remove dark circles around the eyes.

* Almond meal and lemon rind- Make a facial scrub with 2 tablespoon almond meal, 1 tablespoon ground lemon rind and 3-4 tablespoon milk. Gently scrub your face and get rid of the excess oil.

* Rose petals, chamomile and geranium oils. Throw some rose petals in your tub and add 3-4 drops of chamomile oil and 1 drop of geranium oil. Soak your body in the sweet aroma. The chemicals in the petals and the oils act as a classic toner for oily skin.

* Multani mitti or fuller’s earth. Take 1 tablespoon mitti. (Found in Indian grocery stores). Make a paste with 3 tablespoon water and a pinch of turmeric powder. Apply to face and neck. Let dry. Wash face after about 20-30 minutes. This is a unique anti wrinkle pack containing valuable herbs and skin rejuvenating ingredients to give you an oil free, smooth and clear skin.

Oil production decreases with age. With age, skin starts to wrinkle. Then it becomes necessary to supply the skin with oils or moisture from outside especially during winter to fight wrinkles and check ageing. Oily skin generally ages slowly. Alopecia Remedies:

* Mix a tsp. each of salt and black pepper powder with 5 tsp. of coconut oil and apply it to the bald patches. It will restore the growth of hair.

* In a deep pot soak few fenugreek seeds overnight, strain it and massage your scalp with the water. Follow this effective natural remedy for alopecia daily for at least 1 month.

* Onion juice should be rubbed into such bald patches regularly for some time. It will help the hair to grow again.

* Gently massage your scalp with egg yolk and allow it to stand for an hour and wash it with mild shampoo.

* Application of neem oil regularly for two three months at the bald spots helps the hair to grow again.

* Scalp massage with a mixture of essential oils like rosemary, thyme, cedarwood and lavender in carrier oil like jojoba or grapeseed treats alopecia effectively.

* Eating garlic is beneficial for hair growth.

* Take two tablespoons of honey mixed with one tablespoon of cinnamon and three tablespoons of olive oil. Apply the paste over the hairless scalp. Allow it to remain for twenty minutes before washing it away.


Dandruff Treatments:

* If you have only a mild case of dandruff, shampooing your hair with a regular shampoo daily or twice a day will usually do the trick.

* Start out by trying a mild shampoo, stronger shampoos can irritate and dry out your hair making dandruff flaking worst.

* If your standard shampoo doesn't get rid of your dandruff, buy an anti dandruff shampoo and your dandruff condition should improve signifigantly in a couple of weeks.

* Once you have found an anti dandruff shampoo that works for you, keep on using it or your dandruff will most likely reoccur.

* Lather and rinse twice when using anti dandruff shampoos, the first time cycle will clean your scalp, the second cycle will medicate it.

* If you think you may have a severe case of dandruff, it is advised that you set up an appointment with a dermatologist.

* Poor health may be the cause of your dandruff, so be sure to get enough sleep, eat nutritiously, and avoid stress inducing activities.

* If you have to scratch your head, avoid using your fingernails to scratch (you'll risk an infection if you do) instead use the pads of your fingers.

* Wear a hat outside on days that are extremely cold, windy, and when you're going to be out in the sun for a lengthy period.

* Limit the use of hair coloring and hair styling products with alcohol which dries out hair.

* Make sure that you get an adequate ammount of B6 in your diet, which will help prevent dandruff.

* Massage your scalp with the pads of your fingers in a circular motion to increase circulation.
